About this role

The Sales Manager is responsible for helping their sales team meet individual quota, getting the team to hit quota, forecasting sales, and running sales reports, providing mentorship and training, recruiting, hiring and on-boarding new salespeople.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage day-to-day performance of sales associates
  • Cultivate and establish lasting relationships with key clients and participate in all aspects of the sales process.
  • Achieve specific growth objectives for customers, revenues, and profit contribution as leader of a sales team
  • Establish company’s superiority image in the market and lead sales functions to continuously build and strengthen their brand.
  • Identify customer requirements and work with clients and functional teams in a consultative sales mode developing solutions-oriented answers to their special needs.
  • Recruit, build and nurture a team that strategically fosters customer engagement and steer the business.
  • Provide on-the ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sale program accordingly.
  • Develop sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.
  • Understand how our products relate to our customers.
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecast to the management team.
  • Track sales team metrics and report data to leadership.
  • Set targets, objective standards for sales team.
  • Meet with sales associates one-ono-on weekly to review performance, progress and targets.

About you

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of sales/account management experience within the automotive industry
  • 5+ years of experience managing direct reports
  • Experience in successfully mentoring and/or leading others effectively
  • Excellent Negations skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead a sales team
  • MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE U.S. FOR ANY EMPLOYER WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP NOW OR IN THE FUTURE.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling products/solutions and/or system solutions.
  • German or Spanish language skills, a plus
