About this role

  • Assists in developing specific project codes of accounts
    and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions;
  • Training in the proper use and definitions for the cost
    accounts;
  • Assists in developing and implementing requirements for
    cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports;
  • Performs performance monitoring and control functions
    for specific applications;
  • Maintains project finances and contractual relationships
    working with the contracts manager;
  • Ensure the financial position of the project is
    accurately reported and controlled effectively;
  • Manages and reports costs to ensure the project is
    tracking to the baseline budget;
  • Supports claims resolution or disputes with
    contractors/subcontractors;
  • Works closely with the project manager, construction
    manager and contracts manager, to manage the various contractors scope of work.
















About you

  • Relevant degree and 3 years project experience or 7 plus years of experience working in the role of Project Cost Engineer for EPCM projects;
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes;
  • Experience working in the EPCM environment and Unit Rate/Lump Sum execution;
  • Site based experience on industrial projects (Civil/Structural, Mechanical/Piping, Electrical/Instrumentation);
  • Experience working with project schedulers to update progress and earned value;
  • Experience using SAP and Prism, or similar accounting software;
  • Experience performing quantity takeoffs, statistical analysis, and computer operations, or skilled in understanding technical processes, engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and mathematical and financial reports;
  • Experience with Capital Cost Forecast & Analysis;
  • Experience with Change management;
  • Experience in Estimating.
