About this role

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible to:

  • Perform process engineering activities for the assigned proposal(s) either working alone or in a team;
  • Perform Basic process engineering activities for the assigned project(s) execution either working alone or in a team;
  • Lead/control all technical issues in a proposal;
  • Provide process engineering support for commissioning and/or operations of plants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform conceptual design in line with customer requirements duly considering potential utilization, if applicable, of standard designs and stock packages & equipment;
  • Work closely with external customers, proposals & estimation teams and internal engineering disciplines so as to ensure that scope of supply and design parameters are clear and well defined;
  • Perform process engineering calculations including process simulation, line sizing, equipment sizing and utilities consumption estimates;
  • Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, PSFS, DPDT and guide the drafters to ensure that the drafting requirements and design intent of the project are met;
  • Prepare technical proposals and FEED/Study reports;
  • Perform & optimize process simulation design using software tools i.e. Hysys, Promax, Protreat, Flarenet, HTRI and prepare simulation reports;
  • Prepare process design basis, process description & control narrative ;
  • Liaise with corrosion and metallurgy engineers to ensure correct materials are selected;
  • Carry out process equipment sizing calculation including pump and pipe hydraulics;
  • Provide process input to Equipment & Instrument data sheets;
  • Participate in technical safety studies i.e., HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, etc.;
  • Assist site personnel during installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning stages for quick resolution of site issues and warranty claims. This may require working on site for the required periods;
  • Follow the company procedures and maintain high quality of deliverables and ensure that the speed of execution of activities shall meet the project/proposal schedule.

About you

Job Requirements:

Preferred Education and Relevant Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Chemical Engineering;
  • 9 - 14 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry;
  • Fluent in written & spoken English;
  • Must be able to work under pressure;
  • Occasional International travel to remote and challenging environments;
  • Occasional long work days and/or long work weeks due to differences in time zones, work schedules across operations area and international travel;
  • Work with minimal guidance.
