About this role

Seeking an experienced IT Project Controller to support the IT Service Delivery business level within the ITC Business Unit in Houston, TX. The main function of this role is an expert scheduling and financial controller in support of multiple projects across multiple platforms – instant messaging, broadcasts, podcasts, Microsoft Teams, Web and Video Conferencing, and telephone. The IT Project Controller will be responsible for providing weekly schedules and budgets for each project, as well as impacting updates. The IT Project controller will have the opportunity to be involved with evolving technology projects. This position has the potential to extend into 2019 and beyond.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities;
  • Accountable for maintaining updates and accuracy of project execution plans in Microsoft project across multiple projects;
  • Financial analysis and monitoring;
  • Maintain accuracy of Microsoft PPM entries and executive reporting;
  • Primary interface between central PMO and project teams;
  • Confer with management, technical deployment coordinators, technical Subject Matter Experts to discuss project specifications and procedures;
  • Review and recommend or approve cost estimates.

About you

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field;
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred;
  • 10+ years’ of IT Project Controller experience required;
  • Previous Project Controller experience in a Global Enterprise environment required;
  • Expert in Microsoft Project required;
  • Experienced in Microsoft PPM desired;
  • Skilled in financial analysis required;
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time;
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive feedback;
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel required.
