Are you a highly skilled Contracts Engineer with
significant Operations experience in the Oil & Gas Industry? Our client is
a Major Oil & Gas Operator who are looking for a driven, independent &
enthusiastic Contracts Engineer to join their C&P team. They offer

initial 12 month contractor basis.

About this role

  • Provide advice to non-Contracts and Procurement
    personnel on compliance with the C&P Processes;
  • Conduct prequalification, ITT preparation, issue,
    receipt, opening and comprehensive assessment of tender submissions while
    delivering to stakeholder schedule expectations;
  • Ensure Australian Industry Participation objectives are
    considered and implemented in all contracting and procurement activities;
  • Negotiation of tender qualifications and exceptions
    during evaluation;
  • Preparation of documents for presentation to Contracts
    Committee and JVP approval committees;
  • Assisting with the administration of Contract Committee
    meetings, including minute taking document management and action tracking, as
    required;
  • Finalize award, execution and implementation of new
    Contracts and participate in ongoing post award management of Contracts;
  • Ensure Contract Variations and Contract Claims are
    identified early and managed;
  • Demonstrated experience in preparation and updates of
    C&P process, procedures and organizational templates (In consultation with
    C&P; Manager) including proactive attitude toward identifying opportunities
    for efficiencies and improvement;
  • Ensure confidentiality of contract documents is
    maintained.

About you

  • Minimum of 5 years Contracts & Procurement
    experience, preferably in oil and gas industry;
  • CIPS or equivalent qualification in Procurement and
    Supply Chain Management;
  • Experience in the development and updates of C&P
    processes, procedures and organizational templates (In consultation with
    C&P Manager)including proactive attitude toward identifying opportunities
    for efficiencies and improvement and implementation of change;
  • Exposure to obtaining complex JOA approval obligations;
  • MS office suite, with sound capabilities in using MS
    Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • SAP skills (MM module) – Desirable;
  • Contractor Management System experience (Procon or
    similar);
  • Understanding of local content requirements in the
    contracting process;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
