About this role
The main function of a forklift/heavy machine operator is to operate industrial trucks or machinery in a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location. A typical forklift/heavy machine operator is responsible for the operation of heavy machinery to safely move product load around the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review product load for accuracy and ensure timely and complete delivery;
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment such as cleaning, lubricating or fueling;
- Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels;
- Signal workers to discharge, dump or level materials;
- Expected to be on your feet majority of the day with being able to lift anywhere from 25-70 lbs. It’s a very physical demanding job on top of operating a forklift;
- Materials include- moving lubricating oils in cases and drums with operating a forklift up to 50,000 lbs. on the machine;
- Worker will be operating sit down forklifts and golf carts when needed.
Preferred:
- Conoco Phillips or any oil and gas experience has worked well in the past for candidates coming into the position.
IMPORTANT: Need to be flexible to work all shifts. The worker will be training on the day shift for the first couple of weeks – if the shift is changing for the worker, they will receive a two day notice.
