About this role

  • Understanding of best practices and standards for application
    packaging procedures;
  • Knowledge of application installation procedures on all platforms
    of Windows Workstation, both 32 and 64-bit operating systems and know how
    the application communicates with the clients underlying toolsets;
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot applications and come up with
    innovative ways to resolve packaging issues and articulate with co-workers
    for further assistance or knowledge share;
  • Ability to adapt to clients customizations and process driven
    standards, in-house tools, custom templates, utilities, and heavy
    documentation requirements in place for the packaging team;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work queue assignments as
    workload and projects changes.

About you

  • Good knowledge of application lifecycle management;
  • At least 2+ years of scripting or programming experience;
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to
    articulate complex concepts to any audience, gather requirements, report
    updates to management, resolve issues with customers and correspond with
    vendors;
  • Associates degree.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of MSI technology using Admin Studio, Install Shield or
    Wise Package Studio preferred;
  • Programming experience or the ability to write scripts using
    VBScript, PowerShell, Jscript or other scripting languages and
    understanding of basic programming concepts;
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, math, or
    geosciences.
