contract hire in Bakersfield, CA This is an entry level contract position for a
top Oil and Gas Operator, contract available for extension or perm hire. This resource will be working on a portfolio of about 70-100 small funded projects that need to be tracked.

About this role

• Focus on Workover scope of Integreated Schedule;• Engage various SME’s within drilling, facilities, and permitting to acquire, consolidate and integrate existing schedules and determine key interdependencies to understand and make visible the impact of changes across the BU;
• Optimize process for efficient data entry of data into the scheduling;• Facilitate planning meetings.
Maintaining the Primavera Integrated Schedule

• Organize and maintain planning / scheduling documentation, provide timely reports and perform sensitivity analysis on the schedule to assist in decision-making for plan changes;• Formulate solutions for optimizing resource utilization for irregularities in schedule progress;
• Develop and apply understandings for resource constraints within the suite of resources being tracked on the integrated schedule;• Analyze and critique project execution schedules to provide assurance of their accuracy;
• Facilitate schedule planning sessions with workovers and subsurface maintenance teams;• Ensure application of standardized Planning & Scheduling work processes;
• Explore improvement opportunities to load field data into P6;• Facilitate planning meetings;
• Conduit to senior PEs and align project level data back to master schedule.
Project Controls

• Work with project controls analysts to support value of work done and forecast.
Reporting

• Incorporate Primavera reporting features that meet customer requirements;• Support the development of appropriate dashboard reports;
• Perform QA/QC on schedule outputs and publish schedules in line with customer and BU requirements;

Day to day will be:

  • Interfacing with drilling group to get update on the projects and then update the schedule with that data;
  • Conduct meetings with engineers to understand the scope of projects they are working on to update the data;
  • Pull data from excel spreadsheets and load it into the scheduling software through routine meetings with different groups;
  • Weekly team meetings with other schedulers;
  • Will be responsible for exporting data into a report so that facilitators/budget owners can see whole projects;
  • Biweekly meetings to teams to view schedule as a whole and what changes have been made since last meeting and highlight any projects that ate at risk for readiness (resource will not be presenting information but will be the ones responsible for the view of the schedule at the meetings).

About you

Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience with computer applications, in particular MS Excel spreadsheets and Access databases. Experience using Primavera P6.
Education/Experience: - Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years project related experience required. 1+ years Primavera Experience.

Will consider out of state candidates if willing to relocate to Bakersfield, CA at their own cost. No assistance will be given for relocation.

• Must have skills: Project related experience (2-4 years), Primavera Experience (1+ years), Interpersonal skills/behavior skills, commitment to project and team, problem solving skills. • Nice to have skills: Bachelors degree, Project Management experience, Understanding of project controls, cost controls, and how projects are funded.
