About this role

  • Prepare samples and perform standard and non-standard analytical measurements using the following techniques: thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), vacuum thermal gravimetric analysis (VTGA), thermal gravimetric analysis coupled with mass spectrometry (TGA-MS);
  • Support testing in other areas including density, skeletal and particle density, refractive index, vapor pressure, osmometer, Mercury porosimetry, flash point, micro carbon residue, and ramsbottom carbon residue test, etc.;
  • Oversee the distribution of materials that require multiple analyses, managing chemical inventory, perform QA/QC duties and reviewing/reporting/communicating with lab customers about analytical results.

About you

At least 3 years of experience in a petroluem testing lab.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemistry or related field is desired;
  • The competence to maintain and troubleshoot lab apparatus is highly preferred;
  • Fundamental lab statistical knowledge, familiarity with standard operating procedures and safe work practices;
  • Good organizational skills for handling multiple assignments simultaneously and have effective oral and written communication skills;
  • Previous enterprise and/or operator experience.
