Brunel’s global Oil & Gas Operator client are recruiting an experienced Maintenance & Reliability Lead to develop, lead, coordinate and drive the overall maintenance and reliability management vision, strategy, and deliverables for the project. The successful Maintenance & Reliability Lead will have considerable experience in a similar role within the onshore and offshore Oil & Gas Operations or Projects. The role is offered on a 12 month contract (possible extension) working 40 hours per week based in Perth CBD. Only Australian locals with valid working rights will be considered.

About this role

  • The position is accountable for the overall Maintenance & Reliability management outcomes of the project including integration, efficiency, and consistency of results;
  • Ensure compliance of all technical disciplines with Operational Excellence framework and business unit management system;
  • Work closely with the Project Planning function to build out, maintain, and report upon a coherent detailed schedule of all M&R management activities;
  • Drive innovation and creative thinking to identify, capture, and execute more effective and efficient M&R management outcomes.

About you


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent);
  • Proficient in SAP;
  • Minimum 10 years recent experience in a similar role within the onshore and offshore Oil & Gas Operations or Projects;
  • Proven track record in leading, developing and implementing multi-discipline maintenance strategies, running FMECA workshops, developing scope of works, risk management, life cycle costing analysis, resource levelling and simulations, detailed cost estimates, and execution plans for brownfields major accident facilities modifications, new equipment, and decommissioned equipment;
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships. Strong PowerPoint presentation and reporting skills to management level;
  • Strong understanding of brownfields modifications and operations (full life cycle) as well as M&R principals.


  • Masters in Reliability Engineering;
  • Advanced Spotfire knowledge.
