Marine Rock Installation – Project Engineer;
Technical Lead for all Marine Rock Installation operations. This position will start out working in St. John’s corporate office, however will be required to work offshore and on in-shore site during execution phases;
Working hours in the corporate St. John's office will be 8 hours/day/40 hours/week, Monday - Friday;
Working hours once resource moves offshore will transition to 12-hour days.

About this role


• Project Engineer (Discipline Responsible Engineer) for all marine rock installation activities for the WWRP. This includes offshore rock installation and CGS solid ballast operations;

• Monitoring of progress of Marine Rock Installation Contractor in relation to achieving targets associated with design, engineering, preparation, and execution of the identified scope;

• Management of interfaces between Marine Rock Installation Contractor and the CGS Tow-out and Installation Contractor and CGS Design Contractor;

• Management of all key technical items associated with the work scopes;

• Act as the Lead Client Representative onboard vessels as deemed required.

About you


• Engineering Degree such as Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, GeoTechnical, or Ocean;

• P.Eng. with PEGNL;

• 5-10 years’ experience as a project engineer in the offshore oil and gas industry;

• 5-10 years’ experience in the installation of rock in a marine environment (subsea);

• Experience in Flexible Fall Pipe Vessels;

• Experience with the regulatory environment and work authorization processes for marine rock installation in Canada;CNLOPB a strong asset.
