About this role

The Operations Manager will
be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our client’s Edmonton Area
business unit. The Operations Manager will be relied on for scheduling projects and technicians,
supplying equipment to meet project specifications, developing strong customer
relations, reacting promptly to customer questions and concerns, and general
responsibility for the businesses financial results. In addition,
the Operations Manager will be relied upon to identify and secure new business
while growing and expanding current client accounts. This position is a hybrid
of operational and commercial leadership with a focus on increasing market
share throughout the Western Canadian Energy Industry.


  • Schedule
    projects and technicians;
  • Respond to
    customer questions and concerns in a timely fashion;
  • Day-to-day
    management of our client’s Central Alberta operations;
  • Team
    leadership of 10+ direct reports;
  • Develop
    branch budget and revenue forecasts;
  • Identify,
    prospect and secure new customers;
  • Full
    management of the quotation process. Ensure submittals are competitive,
    accurate and on time;
  • Development
    of a solution-focused culture with an emphasis on providing customized;
    inspection and testing service offerings that address the specific needs
    of each client
  • Provide
    after hours support for customer complaints and issues;
  • Regular
    customer site visits and networking.

About you

  • 5+ years managerial experience with a
    focus on gas compression services and parts distribution;
  • Previous experience managing branch or
    regional operations;
  • Strong technical ability in the
    industrial gas engine and compressor industry;
  • Well-rounded operational leadership and
    b2b sales skillset is required;
  • Strong computer skills, specifically MS Word and MS Excel;
  • Proficient is scheduling for a
    service-focused organization;
  • Existing network of client decision
    makers across the Western Canadian Oil & Gas industry;
  • Competitive and entrepreneurial mindset.
