About this role

Brief Description of Job:

  • The role will focus on providing advice and guidance to the Regional Management, the Regional Legal and Contracts Departmental Management (if in existence) and the various sites’ Project Management teams as required, on any and all contractual and legal related matters during the tendering and execution of projects in the KSA Region.

Main Specification:
Indicatively, the successful candidate will be required to:

  • Support tendering department in the review and risk identification of tenders (contractual aspects) and formulate tender qualifications where required;
  • Determine, in consultation with the Corporate Legal & Contracts Departmental Manager, the types of business contracts and like agreements to be employed by the various group entities at Regional level;
  • Monitor and advise during contract negotiation and award stage;
  • Assist the Legal & Contracts Departmental Manager to develop, implement and maintain Legal & Contracts strategies, including the development of corporate template documentation and other related policies and procedures;
  • Advise on and assist in the formulation of standard and specific procurement terms for subcontract supplies & services;
  • Monitor contractual matters on sites within the Region and provide recommendations to Regional Management in relation to contractual issues;
  • Preparation of formal claims for the recovery of time and costs losses suffered by the company and advise on all issues affecting the financial outcome of the project;
  • Actively support the building of, and maintaining, positive customer relations;
  • Ensure compliance with respective corporate policies and procedures.

About you


  • University degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying;
  • Chartered status in either discipline would be preferable;
  • Post graduate academic qualifications in Construction Law or related qualification would also be preferable;
  • Excellent command of the English language;
  • Previous experience of 10 years, at least five of which should be in a similar position (preferably in the Middle East area);
  • Thorough knowledge of industry standard contracts such as FIDIC Contract Conditions for EPC Contracts;
  • Excellent knowledge of Contract Law principles;
  • Knowledge of Law in GCC States (including KSA) desirable;
  • Good experience of claims/contract disputes in construction;
  • Computer literacy.

Contract : Staff role
Work Location : Saudi Arabia
Work Schedule : 6 days a week / 10 hours a day work.
Benefits : Base Salary + Accommodation Allowance + Family Tickets (2 Round Trips) a year with 30 days annual vacation.
