About this role

The Sales Manager will be responsible for front-end business development of our client’s multifaceted gas compression products and services business. The Sales Manager will develop commercial relationships with a range of decision makers across both producer and midstream organizations. This role will focus on driving revenue via integrated services and aftermarket parts sales. In conjunction with the executive management team, the Sales Manager will be a key contributor to the formulation and execution of a strategic business development strategy. The successful candidate will leverage a strong background of experience in the gas compression industry to provide solution-focused sales across the Western Canadian Energy industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand upon relationships with various buying influencers (Production Engineers, Facility Engineers, Maintenance Managers, OEM’s, etc.);
  • Identify key prospects and map complex selling environment;
  • Leverage existing knowledge of regional marketplace to develop needs-based solution offerings;
  • Leverage technical knowledge of gas compression equipment to provide customized equipment solutions;
  • Manage internal & external relationships to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and that business relationships are maintained in a professional, service oriented manner;
  • Assist with responses to RFP’s.

About you

  • Minimum of 5 years of b2b sales with a focus on gas compression products or services (ideal candidates will possess significant experience selling an gas compression services and aftermarket products);
  • Strong network of clientele and track-record of trust and reliability throughout the market;
  • Excellent customer service skills. Manages ongoing interactions with customers, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service;
  • Strong technical knowledge of gas compression products and services. Although not required, the ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in either a field or shop setting;
  • Proactive, hunter-type sales professional is required;
  • The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities and the associated decision makers. The Sales Manager will have a proven ability to identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities with new clientele;
  • Strong business skills and computer skills;
  • Strong communication and relationship development abilities.
