Are you a highly skilled Senior HSE Advisor-Drilling with significant Operations experience in the Oil & Gas Industry? Our client is a major Oil & Gas Operator who are looking for a driven, independent & enthusiastic Senior HSE Advisor -Drilling to join their HSE team. This is a Perth based role and will be offered on an initial 12 month contractor basis.

About this role

The successful applicant will

  • Promote and implement the Drilling 10 Behavioral Requirements;
  • Provide support to Safety Coaches;
  • Development of a Safety Case, Addendum or Revision for a drilling campaign;
  • Provide advice and input into daily operational calls including every second weekend;
  • Act as relief Safety Coach offshore as required;
  • Focal point for HSE statistics and departmental reports;
  • Focal point for HSE alerts review, distribution and presentation onshore;
  • Input and management of HSE events within company database (First Priority);
  • Conduct HSE assessments of tender submissions and HSE plans;
  • Assist in the development and update of emergency and HSE plans;
  • Participate / lead any incident investigation as required;
  • Deliver Drilling HSE objectives and actions as allocated;
  • Drive continual improvement in HSE performance via HSE initiatives, and sharing of lessons learnt;
  • Conduct audits and inspections and manage audit schedule;
  • Drive continual improvement in HSE performance via HSE initiatives, and sharing of lessons learnt;
  • Review new chemicals within company database (Chemalert).

About you

You will require:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a HSE role;
  • Minimum 5 years HSE experience within the Drilling department of an oil and gas operator, contractor or resource sector;
  • Sound knowledge of HSE offshore safety and environmental regulations including the NOPSEMA managed OPGGSER and OPGGSA regulations.
