About this role

Responsibilities:

  • Working
    independently, provides technical assistance for asset retirement operations
    and functions - 35%;
  • Assists in routine and complex data analysis of Asset Retirement Team
    activities;
  • Responsible for preparing presentation slides, developing custom spreadsheets
    with guidance from team members.
  • Assists in coordination and technical content development of asset retirement
    work plans, Project Compliance Plans, project status sheets, project binders,
    Smart tickets, etc;
  • Compiles, analyses and summarizes routine and complex technical data in
    advance of technical service, technology development and strategic research
    projects by subject matter experts;
  • Builds databases for use in project evaluation, extraction of well
    abandonment data and analysis of internal and external benchmarking reports;
  • Identifies in advance, data gaps and process breakdowns in asset retirement
    work flows;
  • Provides administrative support for meetings, including making arrangements,
    capturing minutes, creating action item lists, and following up with action
    item owners.

Manages work flow
documents, records, SharePoint site collection and team communications - 35

  • Maintains standard documentation forms;
  • Responsible for gathering data update requests from team and updating
    SharePoint;
  • Responsible for general SharePoint maintenance, permissions, and document
    library management;
  • Helps team members with hardware and software problems;
  • Prepares daily crew allocation reports;
  • Updates and manage various databases such as LOWIS, Well view and RAW tool.

Permitting and
regulatory compliance - 30%

  • Responsible for organizing, tracking, and reporting permit status and
    timelines;
  • Identifies in advance approaching permit deadlines and pending compliance
    issues;
  • Assists Project Managers and Superintendents in tracking project status and
    historical data and through engagement with stakeholders;
  • Spot checks abandonment permits and compliance plans for deficiencies prior
    to submittal or execution;
  • Answers agency questions related to permits and regulations, including;
  • Monitors internal permit compliance related to timelines and deliverables;
  • Prepares agency related documents such as Notices to Abandon, well programs,
    well histories, etc.

About you

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Technical Assistant
    (engineering, construction, finance, Technology, manufacture, real estate,
    medical...);
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required specifically with
    Excel (advance);
  • Efficient time management skills;
  • Written/Verbal communication;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Minimum High School Diploma;
  • Valid driver license (will need to drive to different sites from time to time.
    Mileage is reimbursed).

PREFFERED:

  • Oil and gas experience;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SharePoint preferred.
