About this role

Comply with project and corporate policies and procedures. Adhere to and support site Responsible Care requirements;

Creation and administration of detailed materials management work instructions and processes;

Provide leadership and management of field and warehouse materials management personnel (i.e. materials coordinator, supervisor and handlers/technicians) Work with the contract administrator to manage the related services contracts;

Participate in planning with construction coordinators and project engineers and report on the availability of materials for contractor workface planning. Develop and implement plans to remedy discrepancies and negative impacts caused by late, non-conforming or damagd materials

Interface with Logistics to coordinate the receipt or return of material;

Oversee the inspection and receipt of incoming material and all required documents (i.e. MTRS, certificates, etc), plan and manage the storage or escort drivers on to site for direct delivery to contractors as applicable;

Ensure MRRs and OS&Ds are issued promptly and follow-up to ensure resolution as required;

Plan and oversee the preservation activities of applicable materials and maintain historical records;

Interface with contractors to transfer free-issued materials and closely record all transactions and manage inventory;

Manage the receipt, purchase and delivery of new field purchase requisitions;

Identify surplus material and process its movement through the disposal and scrap process;

Segregation and management of commissioning and start-up spare parts stock.

About you

Secondary School Diploma;

Technical and industrial experience;

Strong communicator internally with the team and externally with suppliers and service providers, both individually and in teams to facilitate understanding of information and resolve issues;

Build and maintain relationships and networks inside and outside the materials management that are mutually beneficial;

Ability to adapt and contribute within a dynamic and highly-stressful environment;

Proficient in MS Office, Excel in particular;

Deeper knowledge of Inventory and Materials Management;

Collective Agreement and Labour Relations knowledge, skills and experience.
