About this role

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with stakeholders to define the scope of an effort; write the design “brief” to document requirements and stakeholders needs;
  • Advise stakeholders on strategies to reach a target audience and use graphic design to achieve communications objectives;
  • Design for a wide range of digital media, including but not limited to websites, applications, emails, microsites, social media;
  • Think creatively and develop design concepts, graphics and layouts; that work within the framework of the Client's visual identity;
  • Create visual designs that convey a message or communicate an idea;
  • Select colors, images (photography and illustrations), typography, and layout with a design eye that aligns with the corporate brand guidelines;
  • Present creative concepts and design options to stakeholders; facilitate live review sessions and iterate on designs as required;
  • Respond effectively to constructive design feedback;
  • Incorporate changes requested by stakeholders and ensure final designs are error-free before publishing;
  • Assemble separate elements created by other design professionals (e.g., icons, photography) to develop webpages or emails;
  • Work with stakeholders to create engaging PowerPoint presentations (flow, content, visuals, etc.) that are often used for internal meetings and/or trainings.

About you

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Previous 5-7 years' of experience in digital graphic design skills and experience with a strong portfolio;
  • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Knowledge of responsive/mobile-first design requirements, including usability and accessibility;
  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas to clients;
  • Ability to work collaboratively within team or independently when required;
  • Excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Highly organized and detail oriented;
  • Flexible with shifting priorities;
  • Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc.);
  • Highly proficient in all design aspects;
  • Proven professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines.
